About the memorial: STONE TABLET SET INTO WALL AND ASSOCIATEDSTONE FIGURE OF ST ANDREW. TABLET OF POLISHED GRANITE WITH COLOURED MARBLE INLAY. FIGURE OF ST ANDREW SET INTO NICHE. FIGURE IS SHOWN CLOTHED IN ROBES HOLDING A BOOK IN ONE HAND. TABLET IS DECORATED WITH THREE SHIELDS ALONG TOP BORDER. BORDER OF BLACK AND WHITE CHEQUERED SQUARES.

RECTOR OF THIS PARISH)/ WHO FELL IN FRANCE ST ANDREWS DAY 1915/ AND IS BURIED AT BAILLEUL/ THE FIGURE OF ST ANDREW WAS RESTORED BY HIS FAMILY./ HE DIED WHILE CARRYING OUT A DANGEROUS DUTY /LIKE THE FEARLESS LAD THAT HE WAS.'
