About the memorial: Wooden triptych with black painted names on white background of outer panels. Central panel has a painted image of figure of Christ upon the cross with the figure of a soldier kneeling in prayer at the foot. His gun and cap are on the ground beside him. Ornate carved tracery above the image and additional carved foliate section at the top. Symmetrical pattern of gold crosses on wooden panels frame the picture. small wooden cross seems to have been added later to the bottom of the image partly obscuring the soldier. The Farting Collection photo seems to imply that the priedieu below the triptych was originally part of the memorial. It has a plaque on it, unreadable in the photo.
