About the memorial: Bronze plaque with coloured Union Jack & English flags, surrounded by wreaths, on either side of dedication in raised lettering.. IWM Register says - Freestanding frame supporting a large, landscape orientated bronze plaque incorporating, left and right of the central names area, a red on white St. George flag and a red, white and blue Union flag, both hung asymmetrically vertical so as to emphasise the central red bands each as a cross. The flags are each beneath a crown and enclosed by wreaths. Inscriptions above and below names. Single line border around perimeter of plaque. Designs, lines, inscriptions and names all in raised format.
