About the memorial: A sandstone monument comprising a pillar surmounting a pedestal and three-stepped base. The square tapered pillar has an incised border on each face and a molded capstone with a squat blunt domed finial. The pedestal has a moulded top and vertical faces. Surrounded by a low wall and laurel bushes.
