About the memorial: A cairn constructed from over 100 stones collected from over 100 peaks in the UK and cemented together. Each stone represents a former pupil who died in the war. This rests on a square base of slate(?) tiles with a set of sloping stones on either side having slate panels, showing names, attached to them. Dedicated 15 Nov 2015
