About the memorial: Two, small brass plaques affixed to the wooden lid cover of the stone font. The cover has a large, ornate cross in relief. The plaques are placed directly above and below the cross.

Lower plaque - To the glory of God and in memory of all those who gave their lives for their country in the Great War, 1914 - 1918, especially of William Burt of this parish who was killed in France on the 29th August 1918. Upper plaque - And in honour of all those of this parish who served in the Second World War 1939 - 1945.
