About the memorial: A hard-backed book, bound in buckram with a gilded title and containing paper pages bearing inscriptions and names in black calligraphy. The dedication is in gothic script with an illuminated title in black, blue, gold and green and the text is decorated in gold with selected capitals in red and blue. The WW1 names are in gothic script with capitals in red, blue or green. The production details are in black italic script with capitals in red and blue, and with green decoration. The WW2 names were added later and are in similar style to the WW1 names. The book is kept in secure storage and displayed on relevant occasions.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
