About the memorial: A bronze plaque displaying the insignia of the Rifle Regt. and inscription below. Set on a masonry perimeter post to the right of the main Paignton War Memorial. It was erected on the 15th Sept. 1968 to commemorate those in the regiment that had trained in Paignton and especially those that did not return.
