About the memorial: Lakehouse Field was dedicated to the memory of those of the village of Weaverham who fought in two World Wars. Many years later, in 2004, it was designated as a village green in order to protect it from development by builders etc at some future date. A stone was erected to commemorate this event. The inscription is on the stone. The boundaries of the field are Forest School playing fields, Northwich Rd, Withens Lane, Lime Avenue, Weaverham.
