About the memorial: The war memorial plaques commemorating the fallen of the First World War were taken from St Andrew's Erskine Church in Dunfermline about 20 years ago when the congregation moved out and have been held at the new church in Robertson Road since 2004. St Andrew's Church had united with Erskine Church in 1974. The memorial is a set of three cast brass plaques of small to medium size with finely detailed and repeating but non-symmetrical floral designs above and below the names on the side plaques, and small floral designs in the corners of the central plaques. The plaques record the names of 22 men who fell in the Great War. The plaques have no perforations through the metal, and no fixings on the back - this is likely to mean that they were probably set into a triple frame, or perhaps a set of frames to allow them to be fixed onto a wall
