About the memorial: Memorial tablet to 166 Squadron. A vertical, wall mounted tablet with dedicatory wooden board beneath. The stained glass tablet and dedicatory board are mounted one above the other in a dark wood arched frame. The tablet has the Squadron badge at the top with WW 2 years either side, beneath are depictions of Lancaster and Wellington aircraft with the Squadron number either side, these are flying over the Lincolnshire countryside and fields with depictions of Brocklesby arch, and Kirmington church. The dedicatory board, with Squadron badge at top left, is incised and with lettering picked out in gold.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
