About the memorial: Located on the left just beyond the gatehouse at the entrance to the industrial estate along with several other memorials relating to the airbase at Holme. A marble column on three plinths of varying height with brass plaques attached to the face side.

RAF badge at the very top and below that the Bomber Squadron badge followed by " In remembrance of those aircrew members from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Norway who gave their lives in the cause of freedom in operational sorties against the enemy from 76 Squadron 1941-1945 and to ground personnel who lost their lives by enemy action. They gave their today for our tomorrow. We who survived give thanks to Almighty God. We will remember them. " Below this is a panel with the history of the squadron at this site.
