About the memorial: To execute the following works: 1] Strengthen the gallery at the West end of the church 2] Provide and place an organ with electric blower in the said gallery. 3] Provide and place a brass plate about 4” by about 3” in size on the cover of the keyboard of the said organ with the following inscription thereon, namely: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF ALBERT JEFFREY BARFIELD GEORGE SYDNEY STONES ALBERT EDWARD WILKINSON JAMES HARDY HOPPER WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES 1939 – 1945 Seal affixed 26th July 1949 Faculty Book, Number 70 The dedication of the new organ which has recently been installed in St. Clement's Church took place on Tuesday. The organ which is in memory of the four local men who gave their lives during the last war was built and erected by Mr. Cousins of Lincoln. The Rev. P. D. Stephens conducted the service and the lessons were read by the Rev. F. Holt (Rural Dean). The dedication was carried out by the Ven. E. L. Marsden, Archdeacon of Lindsey who also gave an address and the organist was Mr. Dennis W. Townhill (Louth Parish Church). A collection for the Organ Fund realised £6 16s 6d.
