About the memorial: The memorial is of granite stone construction, with a Celtic Cross above a shaft with a Celtic knot design, on a square plinth, with recessed slate panels on all sides. One of the slate panels in the plinth bears the following inscription: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF OUR BROTHERS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919" The names of the fallen are inscribed in the slate panels on all sides of the plinth.
