About the memorial: The memorial is a rectangular marble tablet on the south aisle wall of the church. Within a border embattled there are in the top left corner a badge of The Light Infantry and in the top right corner a badge of St George on horseback slaying a dragon (presumably to represnt the fusiliers although missing the plume of flames). Under these the inscription is inscribed into the marble and the lettering has been painted in black.

Sacred to the Memory of Brevet Major the Hon. JOSCELINE CHARLES WILLIAM SAVILLE FOLJAMBE Forty-third Light Infantry, 4th, son of Cecil George Savile, 4th, Earl of Liverpool, by his marriage with Susan Louisa Cavendish. He served in the 5th, Fusilers 1902-1905. Killed on April 6th, 1916 in Mesopotamia during the advance on Kut-el-Amara. "A good soldier and a very gallant gentleman."
