About the memorial: Painted centre panel shows a knight, with halo, kneeling with a sword held as a cross, with inscription below. Left panel has a crown carved in relief with 6 incised names below: the right panel has a crown in relief with 6 incised names below. Beneath the panels there is an inscription. It was unveiled on July 26th 1920. It measures 52 inches high (132 cm) 43 inches wide (109 cm ).

Inscription on centre panel - To the memory of the old boys of this school. These gave their lives in the great war 1914-1919 and left us an example of faithfulness unto death. Inscription below the three panels - Erected by the children of Randwick School 1920
