Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Sacred to the memory of Frederick Roger Frankland, midshipman H.M.S. Winchester who died of fever at Sierre Leone 23rd January 1844 aged 20 years. Thomas Frankland, Lieut 48th Madras Native Infantry and second in command 2nd Punjab Regiment killed in action with the Sepoy rebels, leading an assault at the relief of Luknow 17th November 1857 aged 29 years. Harry Albert Frankland, midshipman H.M.S. Alarm who died of fever off Vera Cruz, 9th May 1847 aged 17 years, the beloved sons of Sir Frederick William Frankland 8th Baronet late Captain 20th Regiment and Dame Katherine Margaret his wife
