About the memorial:
A set of gold coloured ceramic tiles on the North Wall of the North transept below the memorial window and alongside the Arcade to the earlier years of the Somerset Light Infantry. Above this is a triple window -
Three large two light windows depicting numerous saints and military heroes. Five panels of dedicatory glazed ceramic tablets with inscription painted on below the window. L-R: Royal arms; arms of bishop of bath & wells; badges of Somerset Regt; arms of lord-lieutenant and dean of wells L-R: king Ena; king Egbert; king Alfred; Edward the Elder; Athelstan; Edgar the Peaceful L-R: girdle of truth; breatsplate of righteousness; sandals of peace; shield of faith; helmet of salvation; sword of the spirit L-R: Abraham; Moses; Joshua; Gideon; Davis; Jonathan & Nehemiah; Judas Maccabeus & the centurions of the gospel; king Arthur; king Edmund; a crusader; Edward the black prince; Henry v; prince Rupert; admiral Blake, wellington; general Nicholson; general Gordon.
