About the memorial: inside this grade 11 listed church, this small rectangular metal plaque attached to polished red sandstone backing. There are pillars incised on either side which join to arch over the top of the inscription with decorative tracery in the 2 upper corners. there is a small cross at the top of the words.

To the glory of/the most high/and to the memory of/Arthur Price/Lieutenant in his Majesty's regiment/of Shropshire Light Infantry/He faithfully served his country/in the campaign in Northern France/and lost his life leading his platoon/at Serre on the 13th day of November 1916/His body rests where he died/his memory lives/in the hearts of those who loved him/This tablet is erected by his brethren/of the Lodge of Honour Ni 526 (Rodman and Thacker SC)
