About the memorial: A tall, slender tapering cross, with bronze Sword of Sacrifice on the front face, mounted a square plinth and octagonal three-stepped base. There are three bronze plaques, with raised letters, on three sides of the plinth. There is also an inscribed dedication on the front face of the top step of the base.
