About the memorial: The memorial is on the North Nave Aisle within the Cathedral. The inscription reads - To the Glory of God and in Honour and Remembrance of Geoffrey Charles M Leech Lt 9th Batt Kings Royal Rifle Corps, who fell in the Battle of Arras. April 1917. Aged 26 Pro Christo - Pro Rego - Pro Patria on the bottom of the memorial is the Kings Royal Rifle Corps medal with a inscription which reads:- This tablet is the tribute of a few old friends who admired his many lovable qualities and now honour his memory.
