About the memorial: The memorial is in the south aisle of the church towards the east end. It takes the form of a granite backboard with a cross at the top and a shelf at the base. To this is attached a cast bronze panel with the inscription within a border of laurel leaves and ribbons. A further 2 names have been added on a seperate panel over the bottom border. A further panel has been created in the 21st century with brief details of those who died by year and an outline of the war with photographs amd reroductions of posters. This is diplayed under the memorial, it is headlined "The Great War - A Parish Answers the Call".

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
