In memory of Pte. William Appleby aged 20 and Lce. Cpl. Frederick Stanley Brown aged 24 parishioners of Podymore killed in the Great War April 11 and May 3 respectively 1917. Pleasant in their lives. In their death not divided. 2 Sam. 1. 23. Also of Lce. Cpl. Arthur Henry Appleby eldest brother of the above killed Oct. 4 1917 aged 29. Plaque - The 14th century churchyard cross was restored to commemorate the Millennium by the parishioners of Bridgehampton, Podimore and Yeovilton.
