About the memorial: The monument is to the left of the lych gate overlooking the street. It is a stone 4 sided column terminating in a cross moline. Three sides of the column have a panel on which the names have been carved in relief. Unfortunately they have weathered to such an extent that only the face towards the church can be read, and this is a list of names. There is also a bronze plaque with a further 23 names cast in relief. There is no description on this list of names, but IWM states that they are from 1939 - 45.
