To the Glory of God AND TO THE REVERED MEMORY OF RICHARD EDMUND DUSGATE DUSGATE ESQRE. 2ND LIEUT. ROYAL FLYING CORPS, WHO DIED FOR HIS COUNTRY IN A GERMAN FIELD HOSPITAL OF WOUNDS RECEIVED IN ACTION DECEMBER 19TH 1917. AGED 20. AND WAS BURIED AT VALENCIENNES IN FRANCE ELDEST SON OF RICHARD DUSGATE DUSGATE ESQRE. LORD OF THIS MANOR, WHO DIED AT FRING HALL FEBRUARY 6TH 1918. AGED 67. "IN THE WORLD YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER. I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED. NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID."
