About the memorial: This memorial is recorded by the IWM Register as being outside the RBL Club in Cologne Road, Bovington. Research has indicated that this building was erected in the 1920s and that part of it was used by the RBL. However, the Bovington RBL closed at some point. A new version is in the process of being established on another site, and the war memorial is not there either. The present building is still a Community Room but with no RBL link and no war memorial - just a stone slab outside which may well have carried the Stone of Remembrance. Further research will be undertaken.
