About the memorial: This monument consists of a grave plot, with recumbent plaque and tombstone (added at a later date), gravelled and surrounded by low wall. It marks the grave of (then) unknown sailors washed up at Borth. One of whom was subsequently identified and for whom a Portland stone CWGC headstone was subsequently erected.
