City of London Crest on top. The City of London Volunteers Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Morum. In Memory of Dudley Perring Kingsford. A Sergeant in this Regiment and also in the London Rifle Brigade (1st London V.R.) third son of Charles Dudley and Blanche Frances Kingsford. He was killed in action at Brandfort 3rd May 1900 during the South African Campaign Aged 32 Years. This memorial is erected at the expense of the Regimental fund. The Right Honorable Sir Alfred Newton Bart Lord Mayor.
