To the glory of God and in honoured memory of His servants, three sons of the Rev E H Loring, once Vicar of this Parish, and of Charlotte Loring, his wife. They fell facing the enemy in defence of freedom and right. Charles Buxton Loring. Major, 37th Lancers, Baluch Horse, Indian Army (attached Poona Horse), who was killed at Givenchy while leading an attack December 21st, 1914 aged 43 years.
