About the memorial: The memorial comprises a timber plaque approx 3' 6" wide x 3' 5" high over all, originally dedicated to the postal workers of Burton who served in the First World War with those who gave their lives marked with a cross. The plaque was later extended to include the names of those who served in the Second World War. The plaque is located in the staff mess room on the ground floor of the sorting office.
