About the memorial: A triangular shaped rock with a triangular shaped granite plaques with gold badges at the top and dedication below.. Remembers the Ack Ack girls. It is situated in the ATS Ack Ack Garden planted with shrubs with flowers which match the Royal Artillery colours

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

They fought for freedom of this land so many years ago Side by side with men they stood firm against the foe Who threatened from the skies above death to those below Enslavement of people free their domination show Tthese girls were strong in spirit too and everyone should know They proved their worth in battledress as soldiers all and so Grateful we should be to those who answered yes not no Remember them in freedom's cause as on your way you go.
