About the memorial: A large sculpture of the island if Gibraltar, shaped from a limestone cutting from the island, resting on a dark stone base.. This is mounted on a rectangular, white plinth (Marble/limestone?) capped (showing dedication in gold lettering) and footed by a rounded cornice. At a central recess there is a gold wreath encompassing "We will remember them" together with names of those who were killed in the two world wars. The whole memorial stands on a large, white stone, paved area. Dedicated in 2015
