Status: On subsequent site(s)
Type: Non freestanding
Location: Internal
Setting: Inside a building - public/private
Description: Framed
Materials:
  • Paper Paper
Lettering: Painted
Conflicts:
  • First World War (1914-1918)
About the memorial: A framed poster, which looks as if purchased, with a space for the casualty’s name. In this instance it seems like a notice from a newspaper has been stuck in place. The design is topped with the Royal Coat of Arms flanked by the dates 1914 & 1918. There is a picture of Pozieres cemetery and of the Australian, Highland, South African & Ulster Memorials. Probably removed from Hoton church when it was closed and sold as a private house.
