About the memorial: Portland stone, with a stainless steel plaque on its front itemising the units remembered, standing in a small pebbled plot in the gardens of Littlecote House. A small brass dedicatory plaque stands next to the memorial. The memorial was installed on September15th 2013. In attendance were flag bearers from all the local British Legions and an Honour Guard from the Screaming Eagles Living History Group who were partly responsible for the fundraising toward the memorial. If you visit the hotel to see the memorial please take time to look at the Band of Brothers Stable also situated in the grounds near the memorial and the WW2 museum in the old house on the first floor next to the haunted bedroom. The museum and stable are owned by The Kennet Valley at War Trust.
