About the memorial: A white marble tablet on a black granite backboard. The oblong tablet is surmounted by a moulded cornice and has the inscription incised at the head in upright capital decorative lettering. The names are in three columns, each surrounded by a thin incised border coloured black and the names are incised in upright capital roman lettering coloured black with rubricated initials. Located on the north wall of the north aisle. Accompanying this tablet there is a computer-printed book of remembrance comprising A4 sheets in a ring binder. The pages commemorate the fallen of WW1 and WW2 with biographical accounts. (this is not, by definition, a separate war memorial in it's own right). In the Churchyard there is a gravestone for a Troop Sergeant Major Thomas McClaughry who died peacefully at home aged 75 years after a 25 year Army career, including the Crimean War. He is included in this section as it is worthy of comment, and this part of the report shows up in a word search, for the benefit of researchers.
