About the memorial: I have never seen this memorial but have been given information by a member of KCCC whos is concerned about its loss. It measured 1-2' by 1-2'. and had around twelve names of KCCC players who died in WWII inscribed on it. It was situated on an external wall near the Old Dover Road entrance to the cricket ground andf within the cricket ground perimeter. It was removed as building work for a McCarthy & Stone development began around a couple of years ago and it was believed to have been put in 'safe storage' by the club. The club now denies any knowledge of its whereabouts. I am not aware of any plan to replace it.
