About the memorial: On the wall to the right of the main entrance inside the church. An original world war one wooden cross used to mark the grave of a fallen soldier situated above the main memorial which consists of an outer oblong of dark marble on which is a smaller oblong of light marble. This is a memorial to Captain Clement Martineau.

In loving remembrance of Captain Clement Martineau Royal Warwickshire Regiment. .Eldest son of Geoffrey A and Jesse C Martineau of Touchwood Hall Solihull who died of wounds in a German field hospital May 10th 1918. Aged 21 years and was interred in the cemetery at Coutrai Belgium
