About the memorial: The memorial is a Wall mounted case, oak, carved. It currently stands on the floor in "The Warehouse". Tne NRM do not appear to know where this came from, neither the place nor the Railway Company that created it. It must be assumed that the books of remembrance that belong inside it are either lost or completely dis-associated from the case. The case now contains framed photograph, two wooden crosses, Victory Medal, Memorial plaque with parchment scroll, 1914-1915 Star and British War Medal awarded to Private John William Copeland, Northumberland Fusiliers who was killed in action at Passchendaele Ridge on November 16th 1917.
