To God's Honour
In proud and unforgetting memory of
Lieut-Col George Arthur Tryon MC.
4th King's Royal Rifle Corps.
who after 4 years active service in
the Great War gave his life for
His Country November 7th 1918,
four days before the fighting ceased
His age was 32 years.

We asked life of Thee and thou gavest
him a long life even for ever and ever

A mothers memorial to her only son.

Colonel Tryon was the son of the Rev. Arthur Wm.
Tryon, and grandson of Major Gen. Tryon, 43rd Regt.
also of the Rev. Thos Wimberley Mossman, Rector
of West Torrington.
