About the memorial: A stained glass single light, signed by Jones and Willis 1921. Installed by Hanchett ; builder. Depicting St George (after Donatello) standing with his shield above the body of the slain dragon, with the names of the fallen at the base. The memorial was dedicated on 27th March 1921 by Archdeacon A B Cartwright MA . Report in Bury Free Press 2nd April 1921
