About the memorial: Stepped octagonal base surmounted by an octagonal sectioned plinth, capstone, octagonal sectioned tapering column with cross. Metal Sword of Sacrifice on front of column. Plinth has incised inscriptions on faces. In front of the memorial cross is a low curved wall with incised inscription & names on front face. Whole memorial site occupies the centre-point of a forecourt in front of crematorium buildings.
