About the memorial: The main plaque carved in Bath stone features an unsheathed sword between two arches. In the left arch are the names and in the right arch their regiment. Architect Mr. Rigby, builders Messrs Underwood & Son. Unveiled on 6th June 1920, attended by the Bishop of St.Edmundsbury and Ipswich.
