About the memorial: An addition to a memorial stone on a family grave. The memorial comprises a limestone headstone with a shallow triangular arch top and recessed margins at each side bearing a Latin cross in relief. It has a badge of the Royal Army Medical Corps in relief in a roundel at the head and bears an inlaid inscription in mainly upright capital roman lettering. The headstone is accompanied by oblong limestone kerbs and an oblong recumbent tablet bearing a further inscription. It is between the southern chapel and the boundary with the adjacent road (Burton Edge).
