Plaque:- 1939 – 1945 // IN THANKSGIVING TO GOD FOR DELIVERANCE / THE INHABITANTS OF THIS VILLAGE REHUNG / THE EXISTING PEAL OF SIX BELLS & ADDED / TWO MORE IN MEMORY OF THEIR LOVED ONES / & WITH HOPES & PRAYERS FOR LASTING PEACE //THIS PLAQUE WAS PRESENTED BY THEIR MARESFIELD FRIENDS / IN REMEMBRANCE OF BRITISH AND CANADIAN TROOPS / STATIONED IN THE PARISH // ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Framed painting:- MARESFIELD / VILLAGE WAR MEMORIAL // THE BELLS // The six ancient bells of this Church have been taken / down, repaired, re-tuned and rehung on a new framework / in the Belfry. Two new treble bells have been added / so that there is now a full peal of eight bells / Also a Memorial Plaque has been placed in the Church. // THE DEDICATION / BY / THE RT: REV: THE LORD BISHOP OF CHICHESTER / WILL TAKE PLACE ON / THURSDAY, 7TH DEC: 1950 AT 7 P.M. //
