About the memorial: A Portland stone wall with a central buttress supporting a cenotaph, and with a protruding square block at each end. The central part has a block with carved dedication in raised lettering with reliefs of cricket cap, bat, ball & stumps on either side. The cenotaph has a further inscription on its front plus reliefs of crossed swords on its sides. The wall supports 11, rectangular, slate tablets with names.
