About the memorial: Previously located in the bottom chapel in Pant, this tablet records the names of Pant residents killed on active service in World War 2, with ex-servicemen and Home Guard members who died during the war years or shortly after. When the chapel closed in 2004, the plaque was moved to Pant Memorial Institute, the village hall which was built as the World War 1 memorial. It is in the entrance hall of the institute (visible through the doors if the building is not open) and forms the centrepiece of the annual service of remembrance.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
