About the memorial: DUPLICATE OF 169643. PLEASE USE ORIGINAL FOR PHOTOS AND COMMENTS. Celtic cross decorated with carved animals in top section and entwined snakes on the arms of the cross and down the shaft forming the knotwork design. Set on a tapering plinth and base. The inscription and names are in black lettering on 3 sides of the plinth, with the additional plaque/tablet for Ward VC at the bottom of the shaft, just above the main inscription on the front face.
