About the memorial: A brass plaque listing those who died in the two world wars. Brass plaque Roll of Honour mounted in a stone frame with ledges at the bottom supporting two black cast reclining metal lions. Beneath this is a small dedicatory plaque of brass with engraving in red and black ink mounted on a wooden base.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

Brass Plaque: TO THE MEN OF HEACHAM/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE WAR OF 1914+1918 (names)/ IN THE WAR OF 1939+1945/ (names)/ Dedicatory Plaque: THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION/ HEACHAM & DISTRICT BRANCH/ This plaque is to commemorate the association with/ Heacham Parish Church, and the Royal Bristiah Legion from 1926‐2002./ It is a record to the men and women of Heacham who served in the/ armed forces of the realm during two world wars and other conflicts/ since 1945./ Heacham and District Branch is now a sub‐branch of King's Lynn and/ District R.B.L, enabling this branch to keep its name and carry its/ Standard on appropriate occasions./ They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the years/ condemn.
