About the memorial: To the right of the church near the altar. Stained glass window in the south wall of the church , curved at top , four main lights each divided into two parts , central lights from left showing respectively St Nicholas , St George ,St Michael & King Richard , lower lights from left showing respectively St Christopher , the Crucifixion , An Archangel and a kneeling knight , all in multiple colours . Associated with an alabaster tablet in the same church , recorded as #24079. Both memorials commemorating Salisbury parishioners who fell in WW1. The dedication and explanatory notes are of much more recent date than the memorial and appear to have been put in place post 2016 .

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

This is a memorial to the memory of the officers/ and men who gave their lives from the parish in/the Great War 1914-1919 . The window and the/ alabaster tablet recording the names /were provided by public subscription in 1919-1920 and/ were dedicated on 18th April 1920 by the Bishop/of Salisbury and the GOC Southern Command .
