To the glory of God and in ever loving memory of 2nd Lt. Bernard Gibbs M.C. 6th Batt (attached 1st) Rifle Brigade. Youngest son of G.R. Gibbs and his wife Elizabeth, now Wise, who was killed in action in the Great War during the night of July 6 7th 1915 near Ypres Flanders Aged 22 years. Best of companions, staunchest of friends, and bravest of officers.
